We are now looking for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in the Vasa region.

Work description

The maintenance technician's duties include the mechanical maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment related to the maintenance and annual servicing of the power plant.

The person we are looking for already has strong experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and installation work and is able to work independently. The educational background should be technical, e.g. metalworking. A leisure interest in different kinds of screwing and rattling, e.g. farm work or car hobby, any kind of technical understanding is an advantage in this job.

Welding skills should include but are not limited to needle and wire machines, no classes are required. You are a common sense team player with a good grip on a variety of tools (angle grinder, grinder, nut driver, etc.). You are not afraid to get your hands dirty on the job.

We require

Suitable education and training (e.g. in mechanical engineering and metalworking)

Strong knowledge of similar tasks in power plants, sawmills, etc., acquired through work experience.

Basic understanding of different tools and machines

Valid safety and firefighting certificates

At least 18 years of age

Fluency in Finnish or English

A willingness to work, a good attitude and a willingness to get things done

Positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety at work

Self-motivation and ability to work independently as part of a team
